Chae Rim shows her personal style in Powerful Opponents

Less than two years after treading the red carpet in China, Chae Rim’s Manolo pumps reappeared in a cameo role in her 2008 KBS comedy-drama Powerful Opponents (aka Formidable Rivals). At one point in the story, Chae Rim’s character, Cha Young-Jin, as a new agent in the Korean Presidential Security Service, is required to wear a sexy cocktail dress and heels for a ‘disguise’ during an undercover assignment.             Chae Rim’s shoes at the TVS Awards               Cha Young-Jin’s shoes in Powerful Opponents Manolo Blanik’s “Sedaraby” pumps, made famous in the 2003 season of Sex and the City, Episode 9 "A Woman's Right to Shoes", are now more commonly known as “Carrie’s Stolen Shoes”. Sedaraby is a classic d’Orsey look with an open toe and 3 1/2” covered heel, accented with a rhinestone jeweled brooch on the ruched vamp.
