At the end of AAE, Sun-Mi tells Young-Mi she was so good –
beautiful, intelligent, proud, and talented – that everyone was envious of
her. Yet it is Sun-Mi – regarded as a bit careless, clumsy when nervous, and lacking
in the basic skills (somehow she completed the announcers’ training class
without learning how to properly read a news script) – who wins the votes of both
audiences and colleagues whenever they compete head-to-head.

University Broadcasting Festival contestants aired their radio spots,
students voted on the performances by placing a colored sticker under her
choice.

Episode 08
On their
final assignment as trainees, Sun-Mi achieved the highest viewer rating 18.8%,
to Young-Mi with 15.2%, winning the co-anchor slot on the MBS Morning Show.

At the end of
her stint as a temporary co-anchor on the 7PM News, Sun-Mi laments
that the ratings had slipped. But after Sun-Mi loses her composure and
carelessly lets a profanity slip out on live TV, a massive outpouring of
viewer support leads to her replacing Young-Mi as the permanent co-anchor.

Sun-Mi won the votes of 90% of her MBS colleagues.
