CHAPTER 1

It was really tiring for Shan Mei to work in such a film. Of course who would it be? But the very beautiful, kind-hearted, jolly and outstanding actress, Ms. Zhen Shan Mei. She just had a film today with Director Jang it was entitled: "Come back". She really worked hard on the film. It took 1-1/2 mos. for them to finish the movie as a well-done piece. So Shan Mei was really tired. She lives alone at the house having her father working in a very far place. Shan Mei was about to sleep when a sudden late call came.

Shan Mei picked up the phone wondering who was it.. Who would call at such late time?

"Hello?"... Shan Mei answered curiously.

"Shan Mei its Director Jang.."

"Oh! Good Evening, Director Jang!".. Shan Mei exclaimed.. "Why call all of a sudden?"

"I'm sorry if I interrupted you but a new producer came from London and he personally wants to meet you tomorrow "

"Really , Sir? That's great?"

Shan Mei was so happy because she knows a very good project is coming up. Director Jang sent an SMS to her containing the address and the time they will meet up. So Shan Mei slept happily. The next day she put on her normal clothes. Actually she wasn't aware that she is going to face a very young handsome man. She thought of him as a very old man. When she reached the lift she found a handsome man whom he could ask to...

"Excuse me sir, may I ask you something?" Shan Mei kindly asked.

The man lightly nodded.

"Do you know the office of the new producer from London?"

"Yes I'll lead you to his office if you want" The man replied.

"Thank You... hmm... Maybe he's an old man already I would be afraid to be with him alone, Am I right?" Shan Mei commented.

The man just smiled. When they reached the floor they walked to the corridor and passed many working employees, until they came to an empty office.

"We are here," the man stated..

Shan Mei was quiet. She was puzzled to what was happening until...

"Its really good to have you here, let's start the meeting....... or are you afraid to be with me alone?"

"I didn't think..." She was so shy before she could finish her words.

"Don't worry it's okay , Let's start the meeting," the new producer said.

"I'm really sorry for what have happened, let's start business anyway," she eagerly said.

"I know very well that you are an outstanding actress, and for that I want you to work on my very first project," he said.

"Its a pleasure to work with you. Let me try to browse through the script," Shan Mei said.

"Very well, thank you for giving me your spare time" Xiang Zhe said.

"Yes of course, I'm really sorry for what have happened earlier," she apologetically said, "I'm going."

Shan Mei bowed but before he could leave the place, Xiang Zhe called her out.

"Ms. Zhen Shan Mei!" he called out into the corridor.

"Yes?" she replied.

"Want to have dinner with me?

Shan Mei didn't reply.

"It's the 2nd time I've heard you apologize. Maybe it could serve as an apology," Xiang Zhe asked her.

Shan Mei smiled and lightly nodded.

They went on the lift and their eyes met. It was like there was some connection between them. They never knew themselves while they were together but they both thought that such thing as attraction couldn't happen on the first meeting. But both of them were really happy. Even though the start of their first meeting was awful, it turned out to be a very good time.

They entered an Italian restaurant while Xiang Zhe was supporting her by holding her hands with his. Shan Mei was amazed. She never met such a gentleman! The restaurant was very clean and peaceful. It was a really nice place. They went to a table in the corner, ordered food and chatted while eating.

"You like Italian food a lot Mr.____?" Shan Mei had forgotten to ask his name.

"It's Yin Xiang Zhe... I want the ambiance of the restaurant not their food," he whispered and smiled.

Shan Mei laughed, "Mr. Yin Xiang Zhe, I wonder how many years have you been in London?"

"I've been there for 6 years," he replied.

"Ms. Zhen Shan Mei, Please call me Xiang Zhe, I feel old in your way of addressing me," he smiled.

"Okay, in the same way please call me Shan Mei," she replied heartily.

Both laughed... suddenly someone called Shan Mei on her phone; it was You-Zhen. They talked and Xiang Zhe heard their conversation. He thought it was her boyfriend.

On the Phone:

S: You-Zhen, why a sudden call?
Y: Shan Mei, can I meet you tomorrow morning?
S: Sure, I'll meet you at my house 9 am in the morning.
Y: Thanks. Goodnight.
S: Okay. Goodnight. Sweet dreams.

Xiang Zhe asked, "Is he your boyfriend?"

"Huh?" She didn't know what to say.

"He is very lucky to always see your smile." Xiang Zhe really liked her deep smile.

"Did someone ever tell you that your smile is very beautiful?" he said.

Shan Mei nodded and she was deeply shy at what Xiang Zhe said next...

"Shan Mei, not only your smile is beautiful... All of you is beautiful!" he exclaimed.

She was so shy that she stayed quiet and just smiled, until someone came up; it was the owner of the restaurant.

"Good evening, Ms. Zhen Shan Mei, I'm Mrs. Teng. I'm the owner of the restaurant. I'm a real big fan of yours!" she stated.

"Oh thank you so much!"Shan Mei replied.

"Please enjoy your meal." she said. Both nodded.

"If you'll excuse me," Mrs. Teng bowed but she then suddenly told Shan Mei.

"I hope you and your boyfriend visit the restaurant often," she said.

Both were shocked. As soon as Mrs. Teng left, both laughed and smiled at each other from ear to ear. They were so comfortable with each other, even though it was their first meeting.

They walked to the car and later on their way to Shan Mei's house, she fell asleep, her head resting on Xiang Zhe's shoulder. As they reached the place Shan Mei was still asleep and Xiang Zhe didn't want to wake her up.

When she awoke she saw Xiang Zhe...

"Xiang Zhe! Xiang Zhe, I'm very sorry for that" she murmured.

"It's okay I think you should rest now Shan Mei," he said.

"I really had a good time tonight, I'm so sorry for all that happened," she said.

"Shan Mei, do you really have to say sorry every time?"

Shan Mei laughed and waved at him. "Good night," she said.

The next day You Zhen dropped by Shan Mei's house. They talked about business matters and had tea at the same time. You Zhen had liked Shan Mei for a long time. When You Zhen left, Shan Mei remembered what happened to her last night with Xiang Zhe.

Xiang Zhe didn't know what is it that Shan Mei left in his heart. It was like a stain that even he himself couldn't remove. The truth is after the next days he felt like something was missing. He didn't know what was it or who is it. Until while he was working with some files he saw Shan Mei standing in his door. His serious look suddenly fainted into a pleasing smile.

"Mr. Yin aren't you working a little hard?"she asked.

"Ms. Zhen not really," he smiled and stood up.

"What brings you here?" He led her to sit.

"Why? You don't want to see me?" Both smiled.

"I went here because I've wanted to inform you that I accepted your offer," Shan Mei stated.

"Really? That's great! It would be fun having to work with my girlfriend!" he joked.

Shan Mei didn't reply. But because Xiang Zhe doesn't want her to feel embarrassed towards him. He pulled the joke back by telling her that he couldn't forget when the owner of the Italian Restaurant had mistaken them for sweethearts .They both laughed and then Xiang Zhe thought of having lunch with her.

"Shan Mei, shouldn't we have lunch together?" he asked.

Shan Mei didn't answer so Xiang Zhe came up with a reason.

"Serve our lunch as your apology to me," he reasoned.

"Apology, again? ...For what?" She was so curious.

"You made my shoulder stiff that night," he commented.

"Oh, that night when I slept... hmm... okay," she agreed.

While they were making their way to Xiang Zhe's car, they had a little conversation. They talked about each others likes until they reached the car, then Xiang Zhe asked her where she wants to eat. Shan Mei said anywhere would do. Then Xiang Zhe thought of a place. When they reached the place it was Xiang Zhe's house.

"Xiang Zhe, I don't think I should enter your house like this," Shan Mei was worried.

"Shan Mei . Don't worry I'm a nice man" She didn't reply.

"You wouldn't want to miss a delicious ramen, would you?" he insisted.

Shan Mei entered the room and gave him a smile, a nice smile he always had wanted. He cooked ramen for her. And while Xiang Zhe was away she explored the room. And then she saw Xiang Zhe's picture in a frame. She giggled because Xiang Zhe was 6 years old and he was so cute.

Then Xiang Zhe called her...

"Time to eat!" Xiang Zhe happily shouted.

When Shan Mei saw the food he prepared she was really moved.

"So how was it?" Xiang Zhe asked.

"Its so delicious!"Shan Mei said.

"Really? That's great! I told you, you won't regret it!"

Both laughed and ate at the same time. They ended up sitting at the comfortable sofa.

"So what did you and your boyfriend talk about last time?" Xiang Zhe asked. He didn't know why, but he felt a tingle of jealousy.

"Xiang Zhe, he wasn't my boyfriend; he's just a close friend of mine. Actually he's one of the best camera men I've ever known," she defended.

"What did you really talk about?"He asked insistently.

"It was business matters, nothing interesting," she smiled.

Both were drinking until when Shan Mei sipped her tea some fell onto her legs causing her to shout from the pain. Xiang Zhe was so worried.

"What is it?!?" he worriedly asked.

"My legs ..some tea fell onto them. It's hot... ouch!" she shouted from the pain again.

So Xiang Zhe ran towards the fridge and got some ice..He dampened a cloth and pressed it onto her legs. He was amazed her legs was so smooth and soft . Seeing Xiang Zhe's hot and appreciative look Shan Mei pulled him back.


"Yin Xiang Zhe, let me do it. I don't want you to take advantage over me." both smiled.

"Next time be more careful," Xiang Zhe said.

"I'm sorry. I will be careful next time. Don't worry," she said.

But when they were leaving the place to drive Shan Mei home, something happened. There was a spill of tea left on the floor causing Shan Mei to slip! She slipped but then grabbed hold of Xiang Zhe's neck causing them to lie on the floor with Xiang Zhe on the top of Shan Mei. Their faces were so close .There was silence, until when Shan Mei was about to stand up. Xiang Zhe lost his balance causing them to lie again now even closer so that his lips were nearly touching hers. Xiang Zhe respects her so much so he quickly stood up to prevent them from showing their intimate actions openly.

"I told you be very careful, this is the 2nd time around," he smiled.

"I'm very sorry , I didn't know there was a spill. Anyway, I'll go home by myself okay?" she said.

Shan Mei smiled and he smiled too. Both of them knew that what had happened is not a coincidence but a fate of love for them to appreciate each other..That night both couldn't sleep; they felt such love that let can't go for a short time. Finally Xiang Zhe couldn't take it any longer. He called Shan Mei. Shan Mei was surprised yet happy.

"Hello?" she answered.

"It's me," he replied with a gentle voice.

"Xiang Zhe, why did you call?" she was curious but she was so happy.

"hmm ... mmm... mm" he has nothing to say.

"Why are you calling when you don't have anything..." Before she could finish her words...

"I miss you, Shan Mei" he confesses.

Shan Mei takes it as a joke and said, "hmm... is that all you're gonna say?"

He knew that even though she joked she misses him too. After their conversation, both were really happy. They couldn't sleep at all. The next day Shan Mei's manager, Mr. Jin Xian Da called her and said that the next day after tomorrow will be the shooting day. Shan Mei was excited for the movie its not only because its a great opportunity but because she knows Xiang Zhe will be there.

At the shooting day everyone was starting to set-up the location and the Actors and Actresses were on their own dressing rooms. Shan Mei was putting make-up by herself on the mirror when she suddenly saw Xiang Zhe behind her.

"Shan Mei, ready yet?" he asked.

"Oh ,Xiang Zhe, I'm just putting on some of these and will soon be out," she replied.

"I'll wait for you out there," Xiang Zhe was about to leave when he saw Shan Mei facing the door.

"Shan Mei, you're still beautiful even though you don't put make up on," He suddenly left the room.

Shan Mei smiled she was so happy. But of course she had heard it from others too. Then when she finished she left her room and started the shooting. The story is a romance and Shan Mei's leading man is a well-known actor too. That day they started up some scenes, and Xiang Zhe was satisfied by it. While he was browsing through the script he saw the final scene, where Shan Mei was about to be kissed. He started to be annoyed with the script. The truth is he doesn't want Shan Mei to be kissed in front of him. After the day of tiring work, the staff all had dinner in a hotel. They will sleep at the hotel for 3 days until they finish all the scenes coping up the location.

" We did a good job today!" Xiang Zhe said.

"Yes!!" All agreed.

Later the staff started a game called "Truth or Consequence". Everyone was excited. The game has no limit of players. It starts by spinning a bottle and to whom the top of the bottle points, he or she will choose between "Truth" or "Consequence". They spun the bottle; it pointed to Shan Mei.

"Shan Mei, Its your turn, Truth or Consequence," Chen Shui said; he is one of the staff.

"Truth," Shan Mei replied.

Before Chen Shui could speak, Xiang Zhe questioned her.

"Have you had any boyfriend before?" Xiang Zhe asked.

" I had no boyfriend yet," Shan Mei shyly answered.

"That's impossible with your beauty and fame, everybody would be captured!" Zhao Di added. She's also from the staff.

After some more spins, it was Xiang Zhe's turn. He chose truth and Shan Mei asked him, "Have you had any girlfriend before?"

He answered, "Not yet."

Again Chen Shui was shocked. He said. " With your looks and bearing you sure would capture girls!"

Then again after some more spins, it was Shan Mei's turn.

"Shan Mei, truth or consequence?" someone asked.

"Consequence," she replied.

Then the whole staff had a plan. They locked Xiang Zhe and Shan Mei in one room, with only one bed. Both were so shocked they didn't know what to do. The staff were so happy after some time all of them went to bed leaving Shan Mei and Xiang Zhe in one room.

"This is too much of a consequence," Shan Mei said.

"Still afraid to be with me?" he added.

Both smiled they talked about themselves, helping each other to be more comfortable. Finally Shan Mei told Xiang Zhe that she wants to sleep. Xiang Zhe let her sleep in the bed while he's sitting on the floor at the corner of the bed. When Shan Mei was asleep he stared at her, and his love for her grew stronger. He tucked the hair that covered her face. He held Shan Mei's hands with both of his, and he fell asleep. The next day the staff looked in their room. They were still asleep. And then the staff saw that they were both holding their hands.

"They're so sweet" Chen Shui's voice was so loud that he caused them to wake up. They suddenly saw their hands together. Shan Mei pulled her hand away.

Then Zhao Di teased them, "Holding hands while sleeping that's so sweet!"

Both were so shy.

Then again they worked hard and there was a scene that Shan Mei should show intimate looks to her partner and he should embrace her. When the scene was being done, he couldn't look. He felt jealous, .not only jealousy but anger. Shan Mei saw his depressed look and she was so happy to see him jealous over her partner.

Then again they wanted to have fun at their 2nd day. So they started to sing and dance. They forced Xiang Zhe to sing and then he sang I'll Give You All. They were shocked that Xiang Zhe had a great voice!! Then the staff had something in their mind they pushed Shan Mei towards Xiang Zhe while shouting "Shan Mei !,Shan Mei !, Shan Mei ! , Shan Mei !" all said. The staff knew that there was something going on between them.

She walked towards him then Chen Shui stood up to put Xiang Zhe's arms on Shan Mei's shoulders. Then while he was singing he looked at Shan Mei full of love and passion. After he sang the song everybody was shouting " Kiss!!! Kiss!!"

Both were shy...

"An embrace would do," Xiang Zhe said.

They embraced each other. Xiang Zhe's arms were on her waist and Shan Mei's arms were around his neck. They embraced each other while closing their eyes. The staff were shocked, because they did it for true not just for fun! Then they didn't part. Everybody's mouth was open. Xiang Zhe and Shan Mei didn't pay attention to their friends, instead they only felt their intimate embrace. Shan Mei felt a thudding heart she didn't know whom it belongs to. They only stopped when someone shouted, "Shan Mei!"

It was You Zhen. Then the faces of Xiang Zhe and You Zhen were so close their looks were really angry. Shan Mei was between them. Then You Zhen started to break the silence.

"Jin You Zhen," he introduced himself.

"Yin Xiang Zhe," he answered.

Both had decieving looks, then Shan Mei tried to calm things down. "You Zhen what brought you here?" Shan Mei asked.

"I was worried you'll tire yourself again," he answered.

"Don't worry, I'm okay," she replied.

Then everybody went to their room leaving the three unable to sleep. Then when Xiang Zhe was about to go to Shan Mei's room, while he was walking down the hallway, he saw You Zhen also heading to Shan Mei's room. Both were so close, with the door of Shan Mei's room between them, while they're staring at each other angrily, Shan Mei suddenly came out of the room seeing the two...

"Both of you, what are you doing here?" Shan Mei asked.

"I was just passing by when I saw You Zhen," Xiang Zhe tried to calm down.

"Shan Mei, may I talk with you inside?" You Zhen asked.

As Xiang Zhe walked away, he looked back and felt jealousy when he saw You Zhen enter her room. He started to smoke and drink. He didn't know what to do.

In Shan Mei's room, they just chatted. That night when You Zhen was about to leave, he just bid Shan Mei goodbye. But still Shan Mei couldn't forget Xiang Zhe's depressed face.

Then they started the last day, shooting some scenes, and ended at night. As soon as Shan Mei was about to sleep, she remembered Xiang Zhe, so she went into the hallway and found herself knocking on Xiang Zhe's room. When Xiang Zhe opened the door, he was surprised to see Shan Mei. He offered her a drink but she refused.

"You don't drink?" he asked.

Shan Mei lightly nodded. Both smiled.

"So what brought you here?" he asked.

She didn't reply until something fell; it was her loose bracelet. As it fell both of them tried to pick it up, then their eyes met.

She looked up to face him, "Xiang Zhe," she murmured.

Xiang Zhe embraced her. She embraced back and cried.

"Shan Mei, I dont want you to cry, please," he added.

"Xiang Zhe it can't stop falling, the tears."

He continued to embrace her, and again they closed their eyes.

"Shan Mei, come to me," he said.

"Xiang Zhe I need time," she replied.

The next day was their last day in the hotel. They shot some scenes. But before they ended, Xiang Zhe realized the final scene should be done here.

"Before we end, there is still the final scene to shoot," he said.

"Okay!" Both Shan Mei and her partner answered.

Xiang Zhe was really nervous. He couldn't even look at an embrace, how much more a kiss? He couldn't think of a way to stop. Then the scene started. Their lips moved closer to each other.

Then someone shouted really loud, "CUT!" It was Xiang Zhe. He can't take it anymore and from the looks of him, Shan Mei knew that he is jealous.

Shan Mei's partner asked, "Why ?"

Xiang Zhe answered, "Umm... umm... I would like to change the script. He wouldn't come back anymore, the man will be dead so this scene will be cut," he replied.

The scene wasn't continued. Shan Mei smiled at him and talked to him.

"It's okay," he smiled back, because only her voice would calm him down.

On their last night at the hotel, Shan Mei was taking a bath when someone knocked. With bathrobe as cover, she opened the door. It was Xiang Zhe.

"Xiang Zhe, wait for 5 minutes, I'll just fix up."

Xiang Zhe lightly nodded.

When she finished she let Xiang Zhe enter her room. She asked him, "Coffee or tea?"

"A coffee would do" he replied.

They drank through the cup of coffee and Shan Mei asked him while they were sitting at the corner of the bed.

"Were you jealous earlier?"Shan Mei asked.

He just smiled and said, "Shan Mei, I remember that night when I confessed my feelings to you, it felt so good."

Shan Mei smiled. After sometime Shan Mei had the courage to ask him, "What brought you here?"

"Hmm... I know you know why," he replied. "Shan Mei I'll wait for you," he said.

They both know that Xiang Zhe came because he missed Shan Mei so much and he wants to tell Shan Mei that he's still waiting for an answer. They ended their conversation. They slept so well so happy. They didn't know what tragedy would happen next.

After the 3 day shooting there was a week's rest for all of them. And then while Xiang Zhe was having a meeting with the staff including Shan Mei, someone lightly knocked on the door. It was Xiang Zhe's family friend, Liu Yong Xi. She just came back from London to give Xiang Zhe a surprise visit.

"The cameras should focus an angle at the back and continue to lighti.." Before Xiang Zhe could finish his words, he was speechless, and suddenly looked at Shan Mei.

"Xiang Zhe, surprised?" Yong Xi said.

"Yong Xi," he was shocked.

She suddenly reached out to Xiang Zhe and gave him a hug. Everyone was shocked, especially Shan Mei. She couldn't even look.

"Yong Xi, why are you here?" he said.

"Introduce me," she said arrogantly.

"Yong Xi, this is my staff for my upcoming movie "True Love", here is the leading actress Shan Mei. Her partner is not present," he introduced them.

"Hi, I'm Zhen Shan Mei," she said.

"Liu Yong Xi," she replied arrogantly.

After some more introductions Yong Xi turned to Xiang Zhe and asked for a dinner with him.

"Xiang Zhe, let's have dinner later, okay? I'm going for now," she said.

Xiang Zhe saw Shan Mei's depressed look so before Yong Xi could leave the door, he turned the dinner invitation down immediately.

"Yong Xi!" he shouted.

"Yes?" Yong Xi was curious.

"I can't go tonight; I'm having dinner with my girlfriend; just call someone else," he insisted.

Everyone was shocked. They didn't know who the lucky girl is. Even though Shan Mei hadn't answered him yet she knows that he is pertaining to her. Even though there was a feeling of annoyance for Shan Mei there was also a feeling of happiness .She knew herself that she was jealous since Yong Xi came but again Xiang Zhe defended her.

Yong Xi was shocked. It was the first time he had a girlfriend! She was annoyed by that girl instantly, because she was waiting for Xiang Zhe a long time and that girl snatched his heart in a matter of time. How could that be possible?

"Xiang Zhe, you have a girlfriend already?"Yong Xi asked.

Xiang Zhe didn't answer, instead he looked straight into Shan Mei's eyes and smiled. He ignored Yong Xi and continued the meeting.

After the meeting Xiang Zhe asked Shan Mei, "Are you alright?"

Shan Mei was annoyed, "Xiang Zhe why did you tell that girl you had a girlfriend?"

"Shan Mei do you want me to go with her?" he added.

Shan Mei was puzzled, of course she doesn't want...

"I think you don't... Lets have dinner together okay," he said.

"I'm sorry I don't have the appetite for now," she replied.

Before Shan Mei could leave the door, Xiang Zhe reached out to her, "I'm still waiting for an answer."

Shan Mei didn't know what to say. She didn't answer, instead she left. Xiang Zhe felt disappointed but he knows Shan Mei needs more time to think. While on the side of Shan Mei, she thought that a while ago she couldn't answer because Xiang Zhe always robs her in times of huge chaos.

Xiang Zhe thought of Shan Mei, her eyes, her wonderful smile, her gentle and loving voice. He kept thinking of her for the past two days. He missed her a lot. Then while he was eating, someone knocked at the door. He was so happy, because he thought it was Shan Mei, but it was Yong Xi. He suddenly frowned.

"Aren't you happy to see me?" Yong Xi asked.

He let her enter the room and gave her coffee. Yong Xi really wants to ask Xiang Zhe about his 'girlfriend', then after some time she had the courage.

"Xiang Zhe, is it true you already have a girlfriend?" she asked.

"Not yet," he replied.

Yong Xi was puzzled so she asked, "What do you mean by that?"

"She needs time," he insisted.

Yong Xi was surprised. " That girl can actually keep you waiting? Huh... what kind of trick did she do to seduce you like that?

Xiang Zhe was so angry that he defended Shan Mei, "She doesn't need anything to enslave me for my love for her."

"You.. a slave for love? Huh... I want to meet that girl!" Yong Xi was annoyed.

"If you've got nothing to say you can go," Xiang Zhe was angry at her so he opened the door as a hint for her to leave.

Yong Xi was really mad and jealous over that girl. "Who is that girl? Who is that girl who can enslave Xiang Zhe for love? Who is that girl who can get Xiang Zhe to wait? Who is that girl who can destroy their long friendship? Who is that girl?" Yong Xi really wants to meet her as soon as possible.

After a matter of time the shooting day started again. Xiang Zhe was so excited because he will see Shan Mei again. Their next location is far away so they need to ride a plane to get there. Shan Mei was very sick that time, but she can't turn the shooting day down.

When they've reached the location, they started to shoot some scenes. Then at their last scene Shan Mei fainted, but the terrible thing was that Xiang Zhe wasn't there. He'd gone to buy coffee and was about to go back when someone shouted his name. It was Yong Xi.

"I always surprise you, don't I ?" she said.

Xiang Zhe was about to reply to Yong Xi, when someone from the staff went to him and told what happened to Shan Mei. He didn't let the man finish his words; as soon as he heard the word 'Shan Mei' he dropped the coffee and ran as fast as he could.

"Mr.Yin, Shan Mei, she," the man didn't finish his words.

In an instant he saw Shan Mei unconscious. Someone from the staff said, "Did you call the ambulance?"

When Xiang Zhe saw her, he didn't wait for the coming ambulance instead he himself brought Shan Mei to the hospital.

Yong Xi went near the staff and heard them gossiping. The staff said, "Did you see that?"..."That was so sweet!!"..."Mr. Yin really likes Shan Mei, he does right?"

Now Yong Xi realized Zhen Shan Mei was the girl. This is the first time she saw Xiang Zhe so emotional. She got annoyed and jealous over Shan Mei so she went to the hospital.

Yong Xi saw the door was open, and before she entered, she saw Xiang Zhe holding Shan Mei's hands with both of his, and after awhile she saw him kiss Shan Mei's palms while closing his eyes. Yong Xi was more annoyed at Shan Mei so she entered the room.

"Xiang Zhe, is she alright now?" she asked.

"The doctor said she would regain consciousness after some time," he replied.

"Xiang Zhe, can we talk outside?" Yong Xi asked.

Xiang Zhe didn't reply. He was so worried over Shan Mei that he didn't know what to do. Yong Xi was angry so she left the room. Xiang Zhe didn't mind her going. For him there was only Shan Mei and him. They slept while holding hands.

The next day Yong Xi went to the hospital early. But again the door was open; when she peeped in, she saw Xiang Zhe being so sweet over Shan Mei. Because Shan Mei regained consciousness, and when Xiang Zhe saw her, he was so happy.

"Shan Mei"

Shan Mei replied "Xiang Zhe"

Xiang Zhe was so happy that they embraced each other. But this romantic time was ruined by Yong Xi as she enters the room.

"Shan Mei, you're awake already," Yong Xi annoyingly said, then added, "Xiang Zhe, can we talk outside?"

Xiang Zhe didn't answer, instead he turned over to Shan Mei and asked, "Are you sure you're alright?"

Shan Mei lightly nodded and smiled.

Yong Xi was about to burst with anger. Good thing the staff came. They gave fruits to Shan Mei and then someone from the staff, Chen Shui, the talkative one said: " Shan Mei , you know what? Mr. Yin brought you here. We all saw his worried face"

Before he could finish Zhao Di covered his mouth, and everybody laughed. Xiang Zhe looked at Shan Mei and smiled with full of love.

Mr. Jin Xian Da came also, he thanked Xiang Zhe, "Mr. Yin, thank you for bringing my Shan Mei here."

Xiang Zhe was shocked. "My Shan Mei? You mean you are her father?"

Xian da laughed "Do you think I'm that old?..I'm her manager"

"Its nothing ..really," Xiang Zhe added.

Then someone else came in; it was Yin Mei, her best friend and You Zhen.

"Shan Mei ! Shan Mei !" Yin Mei hugged her and cried, "Are you alright?"

Shan Mei said "I'm okay..Don't worry.." They were real friends...

Then You Zhen came and then jealousy came over Xiang Zhe.

"I told you not to tire yourself out," You Zhen said. They hugged each other. Then someone from the staff said, "Shan Mei, it shows that you're a real good person. You have many friends surrounding you."

Shan Mei smiled and then she introduced Yin Mei to them.

After sometime, it was Shan Mei's day to leave the hospital to shoot again.

Xiang Zhe was so worried if she could manage to work again after getting sick, so while they were packing Xiang Zhe questioned her, "Shan Mei, are you sure you should leave the hospital now?"

Shan Mei knew that he was worried so she assured him, "I'm okay now, really." Shan Mei knew that with Xiang Zhe by her side, she is safe.

They started to shoot again and fortunately, they ended happily without any accidents. Then Xiang Zhe was worried over Shan Mei, if she's okay, if she already took her medicine, if she's still awake. Then he met Shan Mei while he was walking along the hallway.

"Shan Mei, feeling well?" Xiang Zhe asked.

"Never better," she smiled.

"Xiang Zhe, thanks for taking care of me while I was sick," she gratefully said.

"That was nothing, umm... Have you taken your medicine already?" he asked.

Shan Mei nodded and smiled. She knew that Xiang Zhe cares for her so much, and with that she is so thankful. For now she can't walk straight towards Xiang Zhe. She needs time to think. Shan Mei is a good person, she don't want to hurt somebody while she is happy.

"Xiang Zhe, we should rest now," Shan Mei smiled.

Xiang Zhe was so happy. Even with a little conversation like that with Shan Mei, he would be so moved. Just seeing Shan Mei's wonderful smile makes him go on, makes him wait for her even though it is forever.

CHAPTER 2

Yong Xi was starting to be annoyed with Shan Mei. She started to plan how to ruin Shan Mei's life. She loved Xiang Zhe so much and she doesn't want Shan Mei to take him away from her. So on that night Yong Xi went to Shan Mei's room to talk. She knew that Shan Mei had a good heart so she planned to tell Shan Mei that she loves Xiang Zhe so much. This might take the cake.

"Shan Mei, give Xiang Zhe up," Yong Xi insisted.

"What?" Shan Mei was curious.

"Everytime I see you together I am hurt so much. I can't believe that just for your happiness you can hurt other people," Yong Xi stated.

"Yong Xi," Shan Mei felt pity over her.

Yong Xi's plan worked. She left Shan Mei thinking. She loves Xiang Zhe but she couldn't hurt other's feelings either. Then while Shan Mei let Yong Xi enter the room Yin Mei saw it. She knew that from the looks of it, Yong Xi has a plan. Yin Mei was worried over her best friend, so after Yong Xi left she entered Shan Mei's room and comforted her best friend.

"Yin Mei, I don't know what to do," Shan Mei cried.

"Shan Mei, don't listen to her. Everything will be fine don't worry," Yin Mei was furious over Yong Xi for hurting her best friend.

Before, in times when Yin Mei needs a friend to lean on, Shan Mei was always there. So she loves Shan Mei, and she doesn't want her best friend to be fooled by anybody.

That night Shan Mei didn't sleep and then she decided, "Xiang Zhe, I love you... but... but I can't go to you..." Shan Mei cried and cried. The next day she had swollen eyes and Xiang Zhe noticed it so he talked to her.

"Shan Mei, are you alright?" he asked.

Shan Mei nodded and went away. Xiang Zhe noticed that something was happening, so he tried to talk to Shan Mei to clear things up. He pulled her arm.

"Shan Mei did something happen?" he asked.

"Nothing happened, I'm tired. I need to rest," she annoyingly said.

"Shan Mei..."

"I said nothing happened! Okay?!? So leave me alone!" she shouted.

Then she ran as fast as she could. After some time she cried and she collapsed on the ground. She hurt herself so much but she thinks this is the right thing to do. She cried and cried, while Xiang Zhe was shocked. He knew that something happened that he didn't know. He felt hurt. Why is she giving him a cold shoulder? Was that her answer that Xiang Zhe was waiting? Or she must just be in a bad mood?

When the shooting days ended, again they needed to ride a plane. Yin Mei was Shan Mei's seatmate. Then on their way Shan Mei fell asleep. Xiang Zhe saw her so he exchanged seats with Yin Mei. He held Shan Mei's head and put it on his shoulders. Yong Xi was on the same plane so she saw what Xiang Zhe did, and she got jealous!

After a while Shan Mei woke up, finding Xiang Zhe beside her. She asked "Xiang Zhe why are you here?!?"

"Oh Youre awake now. Don't worry I'm going." Again he exchanged seats with Yin Mei.

"Yin Mei , why did you do that?" she annoyingly asked.

'He insisted," Yin Mei smiled.

Yin Mei knew that Shan Mei loves Xiang Zhe, but because of Yong Xi they couldn't go on. When they reached the airport they saw You Zhen. Again Xiang Zhe was jealous.

"Shan Mei, Yin Mei!" You Zhen shouted.

"Shan Mei, are you alright now?" he asked.

You Zhen, Yin Mei, and Shan Mei left the airport and headed to Shan Mei's house. Xiang Zhe was disappointed because Shan Mei didn't even bid goodbye to him. Then he was worried of what was happening with Shan Mei. He started calling her but Shan Mei turned off her cellphone. For a week they had no communication.

One night You Zhen invited Shan Mei and Yin Mei for dinner but Yin Mei couldn't come because she needs to work. So it was only You Zhen and Shan Mei who went to a Japanese restaurant and when they reached the place they were both surprised! At the table near the window was Yong Xi and Xiang Zhe. Yong Xi wanted Xiang Zhe to get angry with Shan Mei so she called them.

"Xiang Zhe, isn't that Shan Mei?" Yong Xi asked. Then she called, "Shan Mei! Over here!"

They sat with Yong Xi beside Xiang Zhe and You Zhen beside Shan Mei. Yong Xi broke the silence. She wants Xiang Zhe to be jealous over You Zhen.

"So Shan Mei, are you two are dating?" Yong Xi asked.

Xiang Zhe froze with his hands holding his knife and fork in the air. You Zhen saw Shan Mei's uncomfortable look so he decided to defend her.

"Shan Mei and I are just close friends," You Zhen defended.

"Is that so? Then why isn't Yin Mei here? Why only the two of you?" Yong Xi asked.

Shan Mei was annoyed, and Xiang Zhe saw this. Shan Mei blinked her eyes and said, "Ms. Liu Yong Xi, I have high respect for you but please don't go over the standards of our personal matters," she annoyingly said.

Xiang Zhe smiled because he knew Yong Xi was embarrassed. Yong Xi stayed quiet, while in Xiang Zhe's mind he kept wondering: is You Zhen the one that Shan Mei loves? While Shan Mei thought if Xiang Zhe started to appreciate Yong Xi, she'd feel happy but while she was thinking she nearly cried. Xiang Zhe noticed this so Shan Mei went to the bathroom and cried. When she got back someone called You Zhen. He needed to go so he left Shan Mei with Yong Xi and Xiang Zhe. Then during their meal some food was left on Shan Mei's mouth. Shan Mei didn't notice it but Xiang Zhe did...

"Shan Mei," Xiang Zhe wiped the food from Shan Mei's mouth with a napkin.

"Thank you," Shan Mei said.

Xiang Zhe just smiled.

Yong Xi saw this and she was so angry. After their meal, they went outside and then Xiang Zhe offered Shan Mei a ride home while Yong Xi was there.

"Shan Mei, I'll bring you home," Xiang Zhe offered.

"Mr. Yin, Ms. Liu, I really had a great time tonight, I'm going," Shan Mei said. Then she bowed and walked away.

Yong Xi was happy that her trick worked. Now Shan Mei is avoiding Xiang Zhe. But then she was surprised when Xiang Zhe followed Shan Mei and left her. He pulled Shan Mei's arm.

"Shan Mei, are you sure you don't want a ride?" he asked.

"I'm sure, Mr. Yin. Ms. Liu is there, I'm sure," she insisted then she entered the cab.

Yong Xi was annoyed. While Xiang Zhe was bringing her home, they were so quiet. So she got furious and turned to Xiang Zhe "Xiang Zhe stop being childish! She doesn't love you, can't you see? She doesn't like you! You are waiting for nothing.. she is dating other men already, and me, I'm here."

Xiang Zhe did'nt answer ..it was like he didn't hear anything.

When they reached Yong Xi 's place, she got out of the car. She was annoyed that Xiang Zhe didn't even get out to bid goodbye to her. The truth is Xiang Zhe was out of his mind thinking of Shan Mei. What really happened? Why is Shan Mei like that? When he reached his place, he called Shan Mei. Good thing Shan Mei answered it. Shan Mei thought it was You Zhen.

"Zhen Shan Mei,speaking?" she answered.

"Its me," Xiang Zhe replied.

"Mr. Yin, I think it's too late to talk," Shan Mei said.

"Shan Mei ,are you avoiding me?" he asked.

"Mr. Yin I am not avoiding you,"she replied.

"Shan Mei, I know it's hard now but things will work out soon, very soon," he insisted.

"Xiang Zhe, I... I... Goodnight," she ended the conversation, and tears dwelled in her eyes.

Shan Mei was so hurt as well as Xiang Zhe. Xiang Zhe loves her so much. Shan Mei doesn't know what it is but she can't ever seem to forget him. They both didn't sleep. Even though Xiang Zhe was hurt he is still willing to waiting for her.

Then the Awards Night came. Shan Mei needed to attend these for her previous movie with Director Jang entitled,"Come back"  Of course Xiang Zhe knew that she would be there so he went too.

The Awards Auditorium was so nice. It was first covered by red curtains with a marmol ground for the stage and a really big star symbolizing the Award's night. The seating capacity was limited to 3000 persons. Many stars came as well as Directors, Managers and Producers. Xiang Zhe was beside some of his friends and about 7 rows in front of him is Shan Mei sitting between Director Jang and Mr.Jin Xian Da. Now the best actress award was about to be announced.

"And for the 'Best Actress Award', let us give Ms. Zhen Shan Mei a warm applause for her movie 'Come Back'!!" the host exclaimed.

Shan Mei got up of the stage. She nearly cried while saying her speech.

"Umm... umm... Actually I didn't really expect such an award but of course I would personally like to thank those people who were supporting me all the way to success. First of all, I would like to thank God for supporting me and guiding me in everything I do. Next, my father. Without him portraying both roles as a mother and as a father I wouldn't also be here. And of course the best Director ever, Director Jang and to my loving Manager Mr.Jin Xian Da and lastly to all my fans! Thank you so much! That's all," Shan Mei happily acknowledged.

Xiang Zhe was so happy for her, so after the Award's night Xiang Zhe congratulated her.

"Ms.Zhen Shan Mei!" Xiang Zhe called.

"Mr.Yin," Shan Mei replied with a smile.

"Shan Mei, I'm so happy for you. Congratulations," he replied.

But before Shan Mei could thank him, he stuck out his hands and Shan Mei shook hands with him thinking it was only an act of gratitude but then XiangZhe pulled their shaking hands to hug her real tight. They felt each other's intimate embrace again and Shan Mei knew that he's still waiting for her. Then Shan Mei cried. Xiang Zhe was worried. He let Shan Mei go of his embrace and talked to her.

"Shan Mei, I think that's too much for tears of joy," he said.

Shan Mei smiled and hugged him again,"Xiang Zhe."

Then Xiang Zhe drove Shan Mei home. Things are soon going well.

"Xiang Zhe, thanks for bringing me home," she thanked him.

"It's alright. Congratulations again and goodnight," Xiang Zhe said.

"Okay. Goodnight," she replied.

Then Shan Mei waved goodbye to him while holding the trophy. Both sleep well and then Shan Mei thought to herself,"I can't hide my feelings for him."

On the way back to his house, Xiang Zhe smiled. He knew that even though there is only a little chance, there is still, so he's willing to wait for her. As for them, there are things that a person can't hide, such thing is called love. Even you keep it soon you will reveal it.

Unfortunately, some rumors were roaming on Shan Mei's career. It was a love affair between the new producer Mr.Yin and her. Both were invited to attend a talk show to clear such things. The talk show was nationwide. "Clueless" was the title of the show. It is known for often revealing all showbiz stars' deepest secrets.

It was morning when Mr. Jin Xian Da called Shan Mei for a meeting regarding the guesting for the show "Clueless". Of course, for Shan Mei, guesting wasn't unusual; she's a famous actress so she often guest at shows but what's different is that now Xiang Zhe's name was included.

"Shan Mei, you have a guesting the next day after tomorrow, 2:00 pm, at the show Clueless," Xian Da said.

"Sir, why did they want to guest me? Were rumors regarding me roamed around?" she curiously asked.

"Shan Mei, now is different they're trying to link you with Mr.Yin Xiang Zhe. Who knows if they have evidence,"he replied.

Shan Mei was speechless as soon as she heard Xiang Zhe's name..After a while she was able to utter some words.

"Xiang Zhe?!?" she was shocked.

"You've heard it right. Don't forget, 2:00 pm," he replied.

Before Shan Mei stepped out of Xian Da's office, Xian Da remembered something to tell her.

"Shan Mei!" he called. Shan Mei turned to him. "Shan Mei, I've already called Mr. Yin. He said he'll pick you up at 12:30 pm."

Shan Mei paused for a while so Xian Da reminded her, "Shan Mei I don't know what it is between you and Mr. Yin but 'Business is Business no Personal Matters included'."

Shan Mei was worried. What would happen? What will they talk about? What about Xiang Zhe what will he say? Shan Mei knew that a Showbiz personality should not rely on the truth but should rely to what is best for his/her career.

The day before the show, Yin Mei came to Shan Mei's house and they talked in her room. Yin Mei told her that she knows that Shan Mei loves Xiang Zhe. Of course Yin Mei knew it, she was Shan Mei's best friend after all. Shan Mei didn't try to keep it to herself, so Yin Mei just good lucked her for tomorrow's show.

Of course the day came. It was 11:00 when Shan Mei started fixing herself. She put on make-up and wore a Chiffon Bustier tube top dress embellished with crystals, hemmed well above her knees. She also wore a laser-cut white gold necklace and high-heeled shoes. She looked so elegant and beautiful. Then she heard the door bell, after brushing her hair a little she opened the door and saw Xiang Zhe wearing a formal Americana coat and tie which showed his good body. Shan Mei let Xiang Zhe enter her house to give him something to drink. After then both of them didn't utter a word.

The journey was quite long, for about 30 minutes. But every time they're together the journey was always short. Until at the middle of their journey Xiang Zhe broke the silence.

"Shan Mei, you really look beautiful," he turned to face her.

Shan Mei blushed and just smiled, then she said, "Xiang Zhe , I want you to tell them later that we're just close friends, okay?"

Xiang Zhe just smiled and then he looked at the rear mirror just like what other drivers do.  They reached the place, and went inside the studio. Of course many staff were there preparing the location. There was also a small-sized billboard carrying the title of the show, and also two comfortable sofas colored neon green.

The main host went to them. "Mr. Yin, Ms. Zhen, I'm glad you made it," the host said.

Then the host led them to the dressing room for the guests. There was only one room for both of them. Xiang Zhe was sitting at the lounge chair near the make-up mirror, and Shan Mei was sitting in front of the mirror retouching her make-up. Xiang Zhe was staring at her. He wondered, Shan Mei was so beautiful, he can't even resist to stop staring at her. It's as good as he can't resist loving her as well. Then suddenly the mascara Shan Mei was putting bothered her eyes. Xiang Zhe was so worried, he stood up and blew into her eyes. After it was done, their eyes met. And they're about to clear things up. Too bad the main host called them and said they were about to start the show so both went out, with Xiang Zhe's arm on her shoulder. They both carried a smile, and walked to the set.

Then the show started. The host introduced the show and today's guest.

Host: "Good Afternoon to all the watchers. Of the best show, revealing all secrets of showbiz stars, none other than "CLUELESS!!" (There was loud applause from the audience.) And our guests for this afternoon are a famous actress, Ms. Zhen Shan Mei and Mr. Yin, the new producer from London that is linked to her!! (Again there was applause)"

Both smiled and said," Good Afternoon."

Host : "Okay so first of all I've heard that Ms. Zhen won the Best Actress Award. Congratulations."

Shan Mei gratefully said, "Yes, thank you."

Host : "Now, everybody has been noticing the intimate relationship between you and Mr. Yin. And of course we got some evidence. Take a look this."

The host turned over to the screen. First it showed Chen Shui and Zhao Di's face; they were saying, "Yes! Mr. Yin and Ms. Zhen were holding arms while sleeping, and in front of us they embraced each other." Next were clips of pictures. There was a picture when Xiang Zhe embraced Shan Mei at the awards night and brought her home; probably a reporter saw it. And then their pictures entering Xiang Zhe's house. A picture showing the two entering an Italian restaurant. And for the last was a video clip of the two in the dressing room a while ago. There was a hidden camera inside their dressing room!

Shan Mei and Xiang Zhe were shocked; they were speechless until the host interviewed them.

Host:" So as all of us have seen the truth, can you please tell us what it is between you and Mr.Yin?"

Shan Mei answered first, "You see, Mr. Yin and I are just close friends."

Host: "Then what about holding hands, embracing each other and bringing you home.

Shan Mei defended, "Mr.Yin is just being sweet over me."

Host: "How about you going to his house?"

Shan Mei replied, "We only had lunch, that's all."

Host: "When you came here you were together and after you went out of the dressing room Xiang Zhe's arm was on your shoulder."

Shan Mei said, "Mr.Yin is a sweet person even on others."

Host : "We talked to the staff and they said when you were sick Xiang Zhe brought you to the hospital and took care of you for the whole night."

Shan Mei replied, "Xiang Zhe was just worried for his friend."

Host: "And now you're calling him Xiang Zhe instead of Mr.Yin!"

Before Shan Mei could defend herself Xiang Zhe talked. He didn't agree to Shan Mei, instead he said, "The truth is I'm courting Shan Mei."

Everyone was surprised as well as Shan Mei! Shan Mei thought that he'd listen to her.

Host: "You mean, it's true."

Xiang Zhe agreed, "Yes, But she hasn't agreed to be my girlfriend; yet I'm willing to wait for her."

After a while there was silence. Then he turned to Shan Mei and confessed, "Shan Mei, I like you. You know that, and even, even it would take me a hundred years, no a thousand, or a million years, I mean even forever, forever I am willing to wait."

Shan Mei was speechless. As to the audience, including the host, they all stood up and applauded, they were so overwhelmed by Xiang Zhe's confession. Xiang Zhe didn't mind if they're seen nationwide. What matters to him is Shan Mei and his love for her.

Host: "And now again we've revealed the deepest secret of a star! Next time watch again here only at ' Clueless' !!"

The show ended and Shan Mei was still unable to speak. Then one of the audience came up to her and said, "Accept the guy..It is hard to find such a man in this world!" And of course many fans came and she signed some autographs and took pictures too. Then she went to the dressing room.  She went straight to look at the mirror, and then she heard a deep low gentle voice: "Tired?" It was Xiang Zhe.

"Xiang Zhe, why did you do that?" Shan Mei annoyingly asked.

He didn't reply instead he stood up from the chair where he was seated, and then he put both of his arms on Shan Mei's shoulders and massaged them from behind. Then he smiled with his eyes, showing his love and affection for Shan Mei. It also showed his longing for her. Then he turned her around and embraced her while stroking her hair smelling the good fragrance of hers and his arms were feeling the shape of her waist.

"Shan Mei, let's go," Xiang Zhe said as he let go from the embrace.

"Where?" Shan Mei curiously asked.

Xiang Zhe just smiled and then he put his arm on her shoulder and led her to the car.

They went to a mall.

Shan Mei was surprised, and said to Xiang Zhe, "I can't go to such public place... I would cause a ruckus!"

Xiang Zhe didn't listen to her. They went inside the mall and all of the people were staring at them.

"Xiang Zhe I told you!" Shan Mei reasoned.

Xiang Zhe just smiled and then they went to a department store. And as usual everybody was looking at them even the sales ladies.

They went to a section with caps. They tried and tried while asking each other if it fits them.

"Does this fit me?" Shan Mei asked.

Xiang Zhe nodded.

All were amazed by their sweetness to each other. They were laughing , joking and playing. Then Shan Mei tried to fit some dresses. Xiang Zhe saw that all kind of dresses fit to her, so they bought some, as well as shoes.

And then they went to the horror booth, it was sooo scary, there were draculas, snakes, white ladies and monsters. Then while they were riding a ghost appeared which scared the wits out of Shan Mei causing her to embrace Xiang Zhe so tight. She turned to Xiang Zhe, and his smile was from ear to ear.

"Xiang Zhe why are you still smiling?" she asked.

Xiang Zhe replied, "Ms. Zhen Shan Mei, aren't you hugging me too tight?".

Shan Mei saw her position. Her head was on his broad chest and his legs were between his and both of her arms were secured tightly on his waist.

She said annoyingly, " Oh... so you're taking advantage of me!"

"According to the previous incident you're the one who's taking advantage of me," Xiang Zhe demanded.

Both laughed.

Then they found themselves eating at a restaurant at the mall. As what they expected many fans came over to their table to have autographs and take pictures as well. They chatted and they heard some people talking as well as waitresses. "Don't they look good together?" ..."Oh she's beautiful in person." ..." Is that her boyfriend?"

As they heard the gossips they laughed. It was nearly 8:00 pm when Xiang Zhe brought Shan Mei home.

"Xiang Zhe, thanks for tonight," Shan Mei gratefully said.

"Shan Mei, Sleep well. Goodnight!" he happily replied.

Then Shan Mei went near to him and kissed him on the cheek. Then she said, " English Style.."

Xiang Zhe was so happy. Love really can't be kept a secret. That night Shan Mei thought to herself: "Yong Xi, if we're really for each other I can do nothing about it."

Now Shan Mei realizes that she can't deny her love for Xiang Zhe.

CHAPTER 3

Now Shan Mei can't hide her feelings for Xiang Zhe. They started going out again like the old days (the days before Yong Xi came into the picture.) and Shan Mei would answer all his calls. Now everything is better yet Shan Mei still doesn't have an answer. One time while Xiang Zhe was visiting Shan Mei to surprise her a sudden thing came up...

When Xiang Zhe got out of his car, he saw You Zhen and Shan Mei talking, then after awhile You Zhen kissed Shan Mei on the forehead and hugged her. Xiang Zhe was hurt; he couldn't believe what he saw. Is Shan Mei like that? Is Shan Mei treating all the guys just like how she treats him? As soon as he reached home, he tried to forget everything he saw because he trusted Shan Mei but he couldn't forget it. Images of Shan Mei and You Zhen kept irritating him, though who wouldn't be?

But the truth is he misunderstood it. You Zhen talked to Shan Mei because he wants Shan Mei to feel free.

"Shan Mei , I've heard you and Mr. Yin are doing well, right?" You Zhen asked.

Shan Mei nodded.

"Shan Mei , even though I liked you for a long time, I guess I'm really happy for you now, ending up with Xiang Zhe. I'm going to America this week and I will study there," You Zhen stated

The truth was that You Zhen was bidding goodbye to her. You Zhen is now letting her go. And Xiang Zhe misunderstood all.

It had been two weeks since she last saw him. They hadn't even spoken to each other on the phone. Maybe it was just fate that they were suddenly separated by a few hundred miles, and could therefore no longer meet.

Shan Mei was getting worried." What was happening? Had Xiang Zhe given up on her?" ... "Or did something happen to him?"

All these things made her anxious to see him so she went to his house. She rang the door bell, and Yong Xi opened it.

"Yong Xi?" Shan Mei was surprised to see she's there.

Then Xiang Zhe went near the door only to see Shan Mei nearly fainting. "Shan Mei...."

Shan Mei ran as fast as she could to escape, so they wouldn't see her cry. But Xiang Zhe, didn't even follow her. As for Yong Xi, she was so happy to see Shan Mei like that.

For almost every night, Shan Mei wept. It was like there were a thousand knives stabbing her heart. She can't believe what she saw. She thought, did Xiang Zhe give her up for Yong Xi? Did Xiang Zhe start to love Yong Xi? Did Xiang Zhe stop waiting for her?

She wept so much that her eyes were swollen every morning. She nearly turned down all guestings, movies, shows and even commercial engagements.

After sometime they started shooting the movie 'True Love' with Xiang Zhe. She can't turn this down because they already started it. Actually the shooting of the movie was a little delayed, about a month because of some technicalities.

Of course Shan Mei was nervous because she would see Xiang Zhe again. Then the shooting started. The first scene to be done is so touching, Shan Mei would have to cry. When they started the scene, Shan Mei cried at the right time, she was so good at crying. When the Director ( Xiang Zhe) said "CUT!" Shan Mei couldn't stop crying, and fell to the ground, she was still hurt. The staff was worried, even Xiang Zhe, so they went over to her. " Shan Mei are you okay?" ... " Is she okay?"..."What happened to her?"

Xiang Zhe knew all along that she was crying because of him. Good thing Yin Mei was there to comfort her. Yin Mei led Shan Mei to the dressing room to comfort her then she talked to her while embracing her.

"Shan Mei what is it? What is it that bothers you?" Yin Mei worriedly asked.

"Xiang Zhe... Xiang Zhe," she murmured.

Yin Mei was worried over her best friend. And she was furious over Xiang Zhe. Then the night came and Shan Mei was at her room. Someone knocked; it was Xiang Zhe. When she opened the door, she was surprised to see Xiang Zhe next to her. Without saying anything she closed the door. She leaned at the door and cried. Xiang Zhe can't bear to leave her in the lurch so he knocked again and Shan Mei opened it.

"Shan Mei."

Shan Mei replied " Let's talk tomorrow." She closed the door and both of them didn't sleep the whole night.

The next day, Yin Mei tried to talk with Xiang Zhe. She knocked on Xiang Zhe's room and as soon as Xiang Zhe opened the door, Yin Mei slapped his face!

Xiang Zhe was startled, but after a while he was able to ask her, "Ms.Xu, what was that for?"

"Mr.Yin, at first when I saw you, you were such a nice man. But... but with what you've done with my best friend I look down on you, you're such a shameless person!" she furiously stated and then walked out leaving Xiang Zhe disappointed.

But then Xiang Zhe thought there is something he has to do so he called Yin Mei to clear things up. "Ms.Xu!" he shouted.

Yin Mei turned her face to him.

"May I ask you one question?"

She didn't reply.

"Is Shan Mei used to be sweet over other guys?"

Yin Mei was puzzled "What?"

They ended up at Xiang Zhe's room talking..

"Ms.Xu, I saw You Zhen two weeks ago talking to Shan Mei. They were talking so emotionally and You Zhen suddenly kissed her forehead and embraced her. Within a long time Shan Mei and I had no communication, and the truth is, I was so hurt. I can't look at her because every time I look at her, images of You Zhen with her started irritating me. To my surprise Shan Mei came over my house and she saw Yong Xi being with me," he sadly said.

"What was Yong Xi doing there?" Yin Mei curiously asked.

"Yong Xi handed me some papers that her father was supposed to be giving me, that's all, nothing else," he said.

"Well, I guess it was all a misunderstanding," she said with a smile.

"What?" Xiang Zhe felt relieved.

"Well, You Zhen kissed and embraced Shan Mei because he was leaving to America that week. And I think you have something to talk about with Shan Mei," she explained.

"Thank You Yin Mei, you're a real friend of hers," Xiang Zhe happily said while he made his way out of the room.

Yin Mei smiled, she was so happy to see that both will reconcile very soon.

And then he went to find Shan Mei , she saw her sitting at the pool with her legs under the water. Xiang Zhe was so hurt to see her like that. Then while Shan Mei was crying, she saw a hand from behind her holding a handkerchief. She looked up only to find Xiang Zhe giving her the handkerchief.

"Xiang Zhe?" she cryingly said.

He wiped her tears and said, "Shan Mei, sorry. I guess It was all misunderstanding."

Shan Mei was still speechless.

Xiang Zhe folded his pants and sat beside her, then he jokingly said, "I think its too much creating a pool of tears" while looking at the pool of water.

Shan Mei didn't take it anymore she hugged Xiang Zhe and they made up.

When Shan Mei caught her breath after weeping, they were still sitting near the pool. Shan Mei wanted to swim so she took off the clothes she was wearing sandos then, which caused Xiang Zhe to be startled.

"Shan Mei what are you doing?"

Shan Mei suddenly dived to the pool. "Xiang Zhe what were you thinking?" she smiled.

He took off his clothes and dived too.

They had a water fight then Xiang Zhe noticed her smile. Now things were back again, like before. Then Xiang Zhe pretended to be drowning, he was under water when Shan Mei tried to save him. When she got near to him, Xiang Zhe pulled her and embraced her. Then Shan Mei hammered his chest playfully. They swam together while holding hands. And then they ended drying each other's body and hair.

"So Xiang Zhe, now that things are going well, can you tell me why Yong Xi was there at your house that day?" she annoyingly asked.

"Well, Yong Xi just stopped by and gave me some papers," he replied. Then he said, "I think I'm smelling sourness, are you jealous?" he asked.

"Don't be arrogant, I'm not! " she stated. Xiang Zhe always likes to tease her until she blushes.

"But Xiang Zhe , why were'nt you calling me for two weeks?" she was puzzled..

"Well, I guess it was all a misunderstanding, as I've said. I saw You Zhen with you that night. Don't worry Yin Mei told me everything. I'm really sorry Shan Mei," he apologized.

Shan Mei smiled then the staff called them for dinner. The table was full of good sumptuous, delicious food. Xiang Zhe sat beside Shan Mei. Everyone was quiet and Xiang Zhe was being so sweet over Shan Mei. He was giving her meat from his plate and asking her if she likes some more food.

"Shan Mei, taste this..it's good," he said and Shan Mei nodded.

Someone from the staff said "Wow! that's so sweet!"

Shan Mei was embarrassed so she reasoned out, "No its nothing like that."

Then again Chen Shui talked, "Do you think we don't have a television?"

Then they all laughed.

Shan Mei was puzzled, "What does he mean?" Then she remembered when Xiang Zhe and her were guests on the show 'Clueless' She was about to faint of embarrassment.

Then someone got hold of her hands under the chair and pressed it hard. It was Xiang Zhe; he noticed her blushing so he comforted her.

After their meal they all went to bed and Xiang Zhe was still thinking of Shan Mei, he loved her very much. While Shan Mei, she didn't cry this night instead she smiled all throughout the night, until she fell asleep. Love is indeed mysterious, it is nice to love and to be loved, though it hurts sometimes. It is also like a gamble, you don't know if you'll win or lose.

The next day everyone woke up early including Shan Mei and Xiang Zhe. They went to the canteen and had breakfast. Then after a while , they started shooting some scenes and as what've expected Shan Mei did so well that she could finish all scenes in just a take!

After the shooting Shan Mei's partner talked to her causing Xiang Zhe to feel envious.

"Shan Mei!" Hyung Jun, her partner shouted.

"Yes?" Shan Mei politely asked.

"You really did great today," Hyung Jun stated.

"Oh , thank you I guess there is chemistry between us!" Both laughed.

"Shan Mei, I hope these days we could go out with the staff coz very soon, the film is about to end," he said.

"Yes, that would be fine," she smiled.

"Well I guess I should go know," he said this while holding her hands.

Xiang Zhe was so jealous, he couldn't even move..he started to form questions in his mind. Does Hyung Jun like Shan Mei? So it means that every time they shoot intimate scenes there is no play-acting? He went to Shan Mei.

"Shan Mei , what did Hyung Jun told you?" Xiang Zhe curiously asked..

"Oh nothing really," Shan Mei smiled.

"No , tell me, what is it?!?" Xiang Zhe insisted.

"Are you jealous?" Shan Mei smiled.

"Is he courting you?..Is he?!?" Xiang Zhe asked.

"Xiang Zhe, he's not courting me. We're friends that's all," she explained.

Xiang Zhe felt relief but remembered Hyung Jun holding Shan Mei's hands."Then why is he holding your hand?" he asked.

"You see, he lived in New York so he's fond of physical contact, nothing else," she said.

After some more conversation, Shan Mei went to Yin Mei's room.

"Yin Mei, thank you," Shan Mei smiled.

"It's nothing, Shan Mei. I think Xiang Zhe is still waiting for an answer," Yin Mei signaled.

Shan Mei smiled and ran to find Xiang Zhe. She entered his room only to find Xiang Zhe almost naked, just wearing briefs and was trying to dress up.

Xiang Zhe was startled and he shouted, "Shan Mei ?!?"

As soon as she saw Xiang Zhe was still not ready, she faced the door and said, "Xiang Zhe, why aren't you locking the door?"

Then Xiang Zhe replied,"Then why are you entering a room without knocking?"

Both laughed.

After a while, Xiang Zhe was ready. They sat at the balcony. Both were quiet and Xiang Zhe was staring at Shan Mei.

Shan Mei was blushing so she asked, "Xiang Zhe, why are you staring at me?"

Xiang Zhe smiled and replied .." Coz You're so beautiful." Then he saw Shan Mei so embarrassed so he insisted, "It's getting cold , let's get inside."

Shan Mei replied sweetly "There is always your embrace."

Xiang Zhe was surprised , this is the first time she said such sweet words. Xiang Zhe asked, "Beg your pardon."

Shan Mei said aloud, "There is always you to protect me right?"

Then Shan Mei stood up and put her arms around Xiang Zhe's neck. "Xiang Zhe, is a space in your heart still available?"

Xiang Zhe was overjoyed, he knew that what Shan Mei said is the answer he was waiting all along. He put his arms around her waist and they hugged each other. After their hug Xiang Zhe kissed her on the forehead.

She buried his face under Xiang Zhe's broad chest, they were like that for almost an hour. After a while, Shan Mei went to her room, both didn't sleep well, they were so happy . Now they're starting to form a good relationship.

The next day was a rest day for the whole staff, the resort they've been was a really nice place, they wanted to enjoy themselves before continuing to shoot on a different location. Everyone was so excited; some dived in the pool, others barbecued and others sang and danced. While Xian Da talked to Xiang Zhe for a while.

"Mr.Yin, I watched the 'Clueless'. I can't imagine what you did," he smiled.

Xiang Zhe laughed and said "hmm... Well, did it greatly affect her career. Is that bad?"

"No. Actually many called and faxed us regarding your confession," he assured.

"What did they say?" Xiang Zhe was puzzled.

"They said that you two fit each other. I know how important Shan Mei to you is. I treated her like my daughter because her father is living away. But still she manages to stand up and walk confidently. I guess she's your girlfriend now. Am I right?" Xian Da stated.

Xiang Zhe smiled, he was so happy to remember what happened last night. He was once hurt but he was never defeated by Love. And I guess that's what you call 'True Love'.

All the noises stopped and were put to silence when they saw someone walking straight towards Xiang Zhe...
