Author's Comment:
In order to fit the entire five-year-long saga of All About Eve into only 20 episodes, at times weeks, months, or even years pass between successive scenes, leaving viewers to their own imaginations to fill in the 'rest of the story'.
One of these periods of intermittent coverage is several-week stretch in Episodes 03-04 when Sun-Mi travels to England for a summer intensive English as a Second Language course at Cambridge University.
In just a few scenes, the relationship between Sun-Mi and Hyung-Chul is established. But besides hitting her with his car, eating her lunch, listening to her cry over Woo-Jin, and drinking with her, very little information is provided to justify the beginning of a relationship that lasts for another three years, until Hyung-Chul returns to Seoul simultaneous with Sun-Mi's graduation from university.
Viewers are left to ponder what else may have transpired during those weeks, at what motivations each character had, and what feelings may have started that later influenced the direction of their relationship in Seoul, years later.
Answering these questions was the impetus behind writing this extended, or 'uncut' version of AAE. The episodes were divided into parts to accommodate new scenes and dialog, and printed in blue text to distinguish them from the original scenes and dialog, which are property of MBS and YesAsia respectively.
Please enjoy this continuation of the All About Eve story.
