He checks his watch.
He drums his fingers on the steering wheel.

Just then, Su-Jin comes out through the revolving door.
Seeing Hyung-Chul, she approaches the car with an apologetic smile.

Leaving the hotel, Hyung-Chul drives across Jeju to Noksan-ro.
The road is famous for Spring seasonal views of both cherry blossoms and canola blossoms at the same time.
The blossoms make a perfect photo op with Mount Halla (Hallasan) is in the background.
Seongsan Ilchulbong
Continuing on, they drive to Seongsan Ilchulbong, or Sunrise Peak. on the east coast.
The area is lush with more canola fields.
An extinct volcano, it is a popular location where crowds gather to watch the sunrise.
It is a long walk from the car park past green horse paddocks, to where the ascent begins.
Winding stairs ascend the mount's steep side.
Rest stops give a tantalizing preview of the vista at the top.
A spectacular 360-degree panorama of land, sea, and sky is the reward for the climb.
On the way back, a side path leads to where Haenyeo (Jeju's woman divers) demonstrate their craft.
Haenyeo dive up to 30 meters deep, holding their breath for over three minutes to harvest seafood.
They are celebrated as one of Jeju's valued cultural treasures.
The day's catch is on display to choose from for eating on-site.
Haenyo's House restaurant prepares the selection into a delicious dinner.
Sinchang Lighthouse
Completing the tour is a stop at one of the lighthouses on Jeju's scenic coast.
There, Su-Jin and Hyung-Chul linger to watch a picturesque sunset.

Doctor Kim Bo-Nam is checking Sun-Mi's condition with his stethoscope.

His face is grave as he delivers the difficult news ...
Bo-Nam............ Sun-Mi's breathing is normal, but her heartbeat's more erratic and her pulse is weaker.
....................... If that progresses, we may have to put her on a CRT-D to prevent another cardiac arrest.
....................... I'll check again in the morning and decide then.

Bo-Nam............ That's a combination pacemaker and defibrillator device that stabilizes the heart.

Hyung-Chul and Su-Jin stroll along a boardwalk bordering the outdoor pool.
The walkway is busy with other hotel guests also out to enjoy the pleasant Spring weather.
Su-Jin............... What's on your mind?
Hyung-Chul....... Not much. Why?
Su-Jin............... You hardly spoke a word or ate a bite at dinner.
Hyung-Chul....... (jokingly) That's because you insisted I wear this suit. On holiday, it's too stifling!
They both laugh.
Su-Jin............... You know I can't just wear any old thing, and that goes for anyone being seen with me.
Hyung-Chul....... Now I'm your arm candy, too?
Smiling, she slips her arm around his.
Su-Jin............... It goes both ways. Get used to it.
They walk several more steps before she speaks again ...

Looking her over, he chuckles ironically.
Hyung-Chul....... Are those delicate shoulders wide enough to carry this weight?
Su-Jin............... Didn't you say I'm stronger than I look, just this morning?
He nods.
Su-Jin............... Seeing things from a new perspective -- with different eyes -- can make it easier.

Hyung-Chul considers her offer while taking a final drag on his cigarette.
He puts out the stub on the railing, and turns to face her.
Hyung-Chul....... Let's go inside.

Joo-Hee and Sun-Dal enter the hospital room, greeting Gwi-Sung and Jin-Suk.

Su-Jin settles down on the couch as Hyung-Chul fills two tumblers from the room's wet bar.
Bringing the drinks over, Hyung-Chul hands one to her, then sits on the adjacent chair.
They both sip the whiskey in silence, waiting for the other to go first.
Finally, both speak up at the same time ...
Hyung-Chul....... That is ...
Su-Jin............... That is ...
They laugh uneasily.
Hyung-Chul....... You go first.
Su-Jin............... I'm curious. You invited me here, asked for my help as a favor.

She takes her mobile from the pocket of her blazer and flips it open to make a call.

She looks at him earnestly as she makes her next appeal ...

Hyung-Chul....... Wait! ... It wasn't foolishness, to offer your heart to me.
He steps closer, reaching out in consolation, then decides against it and drops his hand.
Hyung-Chul....... I'm not rejecting you. There's just a lot to work through and figure out first.
She smiles tepidly, trying not to let her hurt come through.
Su-Jin............... Take your time. I'll wait in my room.
At MBS, Joo-Hee is delivering the News At Nine ...
Male Anchor...... North Korean President Kim Jong-Il has postponed the next inter-Korea summit.

He has a backpack slung over his shoulder, and is carrying a Chinese carryout bag.

He shows the bag of carryout.

Woo-Jin freezes with chopsticks in mid-air, certain of what he'd heard. Eagerly he turns to look at Sun-Mi.
She is moving her head back and forth as if agitated.

She doesn't reply.
Her breathing is becoming labored, signaling she is in distress.
Woo-Jin............ (worriedly) Sun-Mi! Are you all right?!
[ loud, beeping sound ]
Frantically, he presses the nurse call button.
Woo-Jin............ Nurse! Something's wrong with Jin Sun-Mi. She needs help!
The nurse replies calmly ...
Nurse............... Yes, we're aware of the situation. An emergency cardiac team is on the way ...
