"It appears this lady of yours already has you wrapped around her little finger!" -- Chairman Yoon Jong-Ki

EXECUTIVE ROW, MBS HQ AND STUDIOS, YEOUIDO ...

"How do you like the view from here?" MBS President and Mun-Yung Chairman Yoon Jong-Ki asks his son.

They are looking out the windows of the MBS Yeouido Studios building from the President's office suite on the top floor.

"I'm not taking it for granted yet," Hyung-Chul cautions. "The vote is still a long way off."

"Director Kim is going to have a fit over Jin Sun-Mi appearing today on Eve's Morning," Jong-Ki predicts.

"It was an emergency," Hyung-Chul justifies his decision. "He can complain all he wants. She's not his property."

"But Art Club has exclusive PR rights, to not dilute their brand."

"Right. So for now, we're not using Jin Sun-Mi's name or face on the Eve's Morning promos," Hyung-Chul explains. "If the ratings are solid, we'll make a final decision then."

"In the meantime, doesn't Jin Sun-Mi also cast a daily radio program, besides Art Club? That's an unsustainable work load."

"I know. But Sun-Mi insisted, and as the arrangement is temporary, I had no good argument to refuse her," Hyung-Chul offers an excuse he knows is lame even as he says it.

Jong-Ki laughs. "It appears this lady of yours already has you wrapped around her little finger!"

The inference of that observation, though apt, bothers Hyung-Chul, so he changes the subject to a less sensitive matter. "If I'm going to take on the duties of Executive Producer, I'll need more help with the Announcer's Division," he requests.

"Manager Kim Sun-Dal is up for promotion," Jong -Ki reveals his pre-emptive move, "effective the day he returns from his honeymoon. He's a shoo-in, as Director Yoo wants his daughter to have a decent standard of living. You know, Director Yoo even bought them a house in Pyongchang-dong, as a wedding present."

"So I heard. I'm afraid Sun-Dal still doesn't realize what he's got himself into," Hyung-Chul reflects with a chuckle. "But that's his problem. I have more pressing matters to be concerned with."

Jong-Ki guesses: "You mean Park So-Won?"

"Right. I can't support this. Her experience is too thin for a lead role."

"If I were you, I'd just forget it," Jong-Ki advises."

"Catwalk is our premier drama production for the year; how can we settle for mediocre acting?" Hyung-Chul protests.

"We can't turn down the only niece of the Director of Drama Production," Jong -Ki counters. "We need his vote..."

"I need my self-respect, too."

Jong-Ki eyes his son closely. "I get a sense this is still something personal for you."

"That was a long time ago," Hyung-Chul disagrees."What happened then is not important now."

"Perhaps," Jong-Ki is still skeptical. "But does Park So-Won think that way, too? Better make your position crystal clear."

"Father, I can handle this my own..."

Bzzz... bzzz... Hyung-Chul's cell phone interrupts them. He speaks into the phone: "Yes, Miss Lee?"

"Officer Han with the Seoul Police. He says it's urgent," she relates the message.

"I'll take the call," Hyung-Chul replies. He waits for the connection, then identifies himself: "This is Director Yoon Hyung-Chul ..."
