"The revised plot calls for Director Yoon to soon have a tragic, debilitating accident." -- Kim Eun-Hee

PYEONGCHANG-DONG, SEOUL...

"It seems that 'little kitty' you disparaged finally showed her claws..."

Eun-Hee looks on with amusement at the purple bruise coloring her brother's left temple and his elevated right foot secured in an ungainly air cast boot.

"What are you squawking about? I just tripped and took a bad fall," Eun-Ki keeps to his official story on the cause of his injuries. "Let's remember, what's important is that my mission was successful. Correspondent Jin Sun-Mi won't be showing her face here again soon, if ever."

"So that twerp has more backbone than you expected, and got the upper hand when you were making a move, right?" she continues to press for his admission to the truth of what had happened.

"All right... I was only executing your intentions though, by making the idea of staying with MBS so odious, that Correspondent Jin would bolt for the exit at the first opportunity," Eun-Ki justifies his actions. "I've no interest in eating another man's leftover scraps, not when there's fresher meat walking in the door every day."

Eun-Hee gives him a look of disgust. "There's a reason I detest men who see women as things to devour."

"It's not a one-way game," he defends himself. "The lionesses are the main hunters of the pride, don't you know that well?"

Eun-Hee's face tightens into a scowl. "Why don't I refresh your drink, so you don't have to get up?"

"I thought you'd never ask," he smiles, knowing he'd hit a sensitive nerve.

She goes to the bar and pours two drinks, and delivers one tumbler to him.

"About that incident with Park So-Won at the Diamond Hotel last night," he brings up the hot issue of the moment. "You might as well have put a loaded gun into that poor girl's hand!"

"Even if that's true, Park So-Won was the one who pulled the trigger," Eun-Hee declines to take the blame. "Who knew she was suicidal?"

He takes a long swig of Jim Beam and remarks caustically, "I can't stomach these tactics anymore. I didn't sign on to this!"

"People like Park So-Won are collateral damage," she dismisses his concern. "Some things can't be helped in war."

"You're going too far in your thirst for revenge," he disagrees. "Who's next? This has to stop!"

"Family loyalty only goes so far," she bares her teeth in a chilling smile. "Get in my way, I'll find someone to replace you, too. There's no place for a coward at the top of Mun-Yung."

"All right, I get it," Eun-Ki retreats under her withering glare and redirects the conversation, "What about the child?"

"As we speak, I have people searching for the girl. If the rumors prove true, it's the end for Director Yoon," she fills him in on the status of her efforts. "He'll have no choice but to give any thought of taking over from his father."

"You think so? It seems a matter of 'like-father-like-son' to me," Eun-Ki differs. "Having an illegitimate child didn't keep the Board from making Old Yoon Chairman. What makes you think they won't see his son in the same light?"

"It's not the Board, but Yoon Hyung-Chul himself, who'll make that decision," she concludes. "Hyung-Chul isn't like his father. He carries a moral center inherited from his mother and her dedication to the Church. Given the seriousness of this 'sin', out of guilt he'll disqualify himself from the running as unfit for the position."

"But he'll still influence enough votes on the Board to prevent my becoming Chairman," Eun-Ki brings up what appears to be a flaw in her scheme.

"That's where the next step comes in," she replies smugly. "Why I'd planned on Hyung-Chul marrying Park So-Won."

"You mean, she was the woman you spoke of before? "

"Right. Once they'd married, and a tragic accident 'happened' to Hyung-Chul, I'd take my beloved daughter-in-law under my wing. Given her fragile mental state, Park So-Won would be putty in my hands," Eun-Hee finally details her scheme to her brother.

"It was a great plan," he agrees. "Too bad it didn't work out with So-Won. Who'd have expected this outcome, for the poor girl."

"Which is why we don't have time to waste," Eun-Hee disregards her brother's sentimentality. "Since Plan A didn't work out, we'll move on to Plan B."

Eun-Ki is amazed. "You already have someone else in mind to take Park So-Won's role in your little drama?"

"Actually, I had a backup waiting from the beginning," she gloats. "But it will mean changing the sequence of events."

"You mean, before Hyung-Chul marries..." he starts to guess...

"Right," Eun-Hee smiles wickedly. "The revised plot calls for Director Yoon to soon have a tragic, debilitating accident..."
