"Mother Superior asked me to resolve some issues in my life first, before I make a firm commitment." -- Huh Young-Mi

HYUNG-CHUL'S VILLA, SEONGNAM ...

... 'If Kim Eun-Ki attacked my mother ... If I'm his daughter ... Then I'm Hyung-Jae's half-sister, and therefore, your sister, too' ...

Hyung-Chul recalls the stunning revelation from his conversation on Seoraeseom with Sun-Mi, pondering this new twist, as he drives into the car park of his villa complex. Slowing the BMW to a stop, he cuts the engine...

He is about to alight, when his mobile rings...

"Yes, Father?" he answers after checking the Caller ID, "What is it?"

"Have you decided to accept the Board's proposal?"

"Any way I look at it, a three year exile to London is like a prison sentence," Hyung-Chul expresses his displeasure with the terms.

"Director Yoo was insistent that you prove yourself trustworthy and stable, and I can see his point," Jong-Ki agrees. "Your repeated imbroglios with women have caused considerable dissention on the Board. Some time away, with no entanglements, would be good for your reputation, if you're going to carry on the family legacy in leading MBS."

"It seems everyone is interested in my contribution to the family legacy," Hyung-Chul remarks unhappily.

"Your window of opportunity is short," Jon-Ki warns his son. "The BBC has their own nominee, too, and won't wait forever."

"I'll let you know... gotta go," Hyung-Chul abruptly ends the discussion and flips his phone closed.

He alights into a light drizzle, walking quickly to the shelter of the stairwell. At the top of the stairs, he sees a woman waiting by his door. She is wearing a simple, beige sheath dress, with a long scarf arranged to cover her hair and face against the rain.

He immediately recognizes her. "Young-Mi?"

"Chairman Yoon, a word please?" she requests. "I have something important to tell you. May I come in?"

Inside, Hyung-Chul escorts Young-Mi to the living room.

"Please, have a seat," he offers. "Tea?"

"Thank you," she accepts as she settles down onto the loveseat.

From the kitchen, he focuses his attention on Young-Mi as he prepares the tea.

The scarf covers the damaged part of her face, but her eyes shine calm and bright, unlike when he last saw her in jail, clouded with a storm of anger and resentment.

"You must be surprised to see me," she notes his scrutiny.

"I heard that you decided not to go into cloister, but are you leaving the convent too?"

"That's a possibility," Young-Mi affirms. "Mother Superior has asked me to take a step back, and resolve some issues in my life first, before I make a firm commitment."

"Your voice has improved since we last met," he notes.

"Yes... The doctors claimed I'd never speak normally again," she shares the original diagnosis, "but through much prayer and therapy, God is healing me in many ways. I'm so grateful for his mercy and grace, after all the wrongs I've committed."

Although her words sound pious, Hyung-Chul carries a nagging doubt of her duplicitous nature...

Young-Mi senses his skepticism, acknowledging, "You have good reason not to trust me, Chairman. But we have some unfinished business between us, and that is why I'm here..."
