STORYLINE

Because Young-mi had a rough life, she envies Sun-mi for having the things she's been longing for - a nice family and an inspiration. Although people believe Young-mi's sincerity, Sun-mi knows that she could do anything just to take her out of the competition.

Sun-mi and Young-mi are both interested to work for the MBS news. Despite Sun-mi playing it fair, Young-mi always prepares schemes against her. But since Sun-mi is such a natural media person, everything works out in her favor that made Young-mi more determined to drag her down.

When Sun-mi went to London for a vacation, she met Hyung-chul, who turned out to be the son of the MBS productions owner. He became her confidant in the Young-mi situation and her strength when she was broken hearted with Woo-jin. When he came back to Korea, he didn't tell her the truth about his involvement in the company she is working at.

Young-mi became more envious when she found out that the company director is madly in love with Sun-mi. Thinking that he is the key to her success, she tried to break them apart and gave up Woo-jin. Woo-jin was devastated to learn that she would rather choose work over him after all he has given up for her. But no matter how many times he was pushed away, he still stood by her side believing that she loves him. Feeling sorry for Woo-jin, Sun-mi chose to be with him. Hyung-chul tried to understand her decision and trusted fate.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: SPOILER ALERT :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Young-mi is hungry for fame and money. Her being too ambitious drove away all the people who used to trust her. She would do everything just to be in the 9 o' clock news, even if she has to hurt other people - or kill. But her dark past continuously haunts her as she live her dreams. Things got worst when Woo-jin had an accident while trying to protect her. With too much guilt in her heart, Young-mi confessed her wrongdoings and tried to end her life.

With Joo-hee getting married and Young-mi having an amnesia, Sun-mi got the 9 o' clock news position. But a better opportunity came when she was offered to be the London Correspondent. She was overwhelmed of the promotion but doesn't want to leave Hyung-chul behind.

Hyung-chul is having second thoughts of proposing to Sun-mi thinking that she really wants to take the offer. But he is more than willing to take the risk. When he proposed, Sun-mi accepted and decided to give up her dreams for love.

REVIEWS

The series has everything - romance, comedy and drama. Not a lot of tear-jerking scenes but that's the beauty of it. They didn't try too hard in making it too dramatic because the story itself is promising enough to make you hooked on it.

I haven't seen any villain's portrayal as effective as this. Kim So-yeon's portrayal of Young-mi is so believable that I would like to kill her. When she shifts to being naive to deceive other people, it looks sincere. I wouldn't blame them for falling into the trap. On the other hand, Chae-rim did a good job in being innocent and sweet. Her smile and eyes is her weapon to draw your attention. As for Dong-gun's character, he has the package. Smart, pure-hearted, understanding, good-looking… come on. What else could you ask for? He is the man that every woman dream of having. He is my kind of guy! Woo-jin's character is annoying. He is clueless and blinded by his love.

Yang Dong-gun and Chae-rim clicks onscreen. It's not only their personalities that make it work, but also the way they look on TV makes you say that they are match made in heaven. They compliment each other's presence. They both have good expressions and smile. If the "Jung Ji-hoon - Song Hye-kyo" team-up makes you sneer, Dong-gun and Chae-rim's could make you fall in love.

At the latter part, I was praying that hopefully, it wouldn't be a LOVERS IN PARIS part 2. It will look passé if Young-mi is just pretending to give way to Hyung-chul and Sun-mi's love.

I don't have any complaints with the ending. Actually I favor it since I like Dong-gun and Chae-rim to end up together (in real life too). But there is a slight change that I want to happen if I can rewrite it. Only two powerful words could make a difference. When he proposed, it would be more romantic if he said, DON'T GO… WITHOUT ME. Yey!

I am putting my credibility in line. You would definitely like this series because this is one of the best Korean dramas ever made
